Adult Learners
Whether you are looking to start a new hobby, dust off an old passion, or take your already excellent skills to a whole new level, you are in the right place. My students are engaging in community orchestras, jazz bands, flute circles, Irish sessions, and musical theatre. Some have gone on to musical careers or degrees, and have performed their flutes on Broadway stages, and much more. It's never too late to start.
I have well over 30 years of experience teaching adults of all ages and abilities and levels of commitment. Some students are retired and ready to give it their all. Some are busy moms just trying to do a little something for themselves and may not get a lot of practice time each week. Some are in college or in the middle of their professional careers and have a lot of other commitments, but want to keep up with their music. Wherever you are at - we can take it from there! I tailor my lessons to meet your goals, with patience and humor (because we have to be able to laugh at ourselves sometimes, right?).
I offer high-fidelity virtual lessons with multiple camera angles as well, so you can learn from the comfort of home if you prefer - or come to my sunny Lincolnshire studio (pictured). Whatever works for you - I look forward to starting you on the next leg of your musical journey!

Kim is the most amazing flute teacher! She makes learning flute so much fun. Not only does she teach private lessons, she has all of her students work on ensemble pieces, participate in group classes and give presentations on different musical topics.
